Back from Gresham, Oregon

Dear prayer team,

Thank you so much for your prayers!

Last weekend’s drive down to Gresham, OR and time with family and ministry partners went splendidly. I have now said goodbye to a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of my grandparents. It’s a surreal experience.

Thank you also for praying for all my details surrounding the preparations for my move to Peru. (Just 50 days away as of this writing!) I have made real progress in categorizing my possessions, and I have found that to be very encouraging. Please continue praying as I take care of all the details, as the Lord leads. Here is the list of major task items from before:

  • Getting my taxes done
  • Purchasing some equipment
  • Digitizing a few boxes of paper documents, and organizing and digitalizing several boxes of books
  • Selling my truck
  • Dentist visits
  • Figure out what I’m taking to Peru and what to do with the items that I don’t take.

In other news, the president of Peru, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, resigned last week amid allegations of corruption. Please be praying for this nation and its government as it goes through this major change.

Thanks so much!

God bless you,

Alex

P.S. I didn’t mention this explicitly before, but my passport did indeed arrive! Praise God that the government closure didn’t last too long.
