Halfway up the Andes

Greetings from Huanuco!

I have some good news:

My director and I made it safely to our current destination. While we didn’t cross over the Andes entirely, we certainly made it up a good ways- 6275 feet in altitude. The landscape and clouds were breathtaking. We even had a rainbow! (I made a time lapse of the entire flight, but with sixty times acceleration, turbulence, and doing it hand-held, it’s a little bit shaky!

My tablet is up and running again! And no data loss either.

We have met the missionary couple for coffee and dinner already, and we will be spending quite a bit of time with them and the translation team this week. It has been amazing to hear their testimony, and to hear how the Scriptures from the New Testament are already starting to be used in the communities.

While my tablet is now working, I have not been able to get a good connection at my new location, so I’m afraid multimedia will have to wait a bit longer!

Please continue to pray for good conversations, deep connections, and reception to God’s direction.

Thanks so much!

God bless,

Alex
