Balance

Hello friends and family!

I have just been able to fix my blog-post-writing app, which means it’s going to be a lot easier for me to keep you all updated. Hosanna!

The family reunion had some unexpected logistical turns, but it still went fairly well. Sadly, a couple of my cousins weren’t able to make it due to their work schedule. But it really was a time of rest and restoration for everyone, even for me; more than I expected. Thank you for your prayers in that regard.

It’s crazy to think that we are entering into the third week already, here at school.

In addition to my studies, I have had many opportunities to minister to my friends these past weeks. God has placed a lot of friends in my life that struggle with the ramifications of their past, in similiar ways that I have. I relish the opportunity to speak words of encouragement and guidance to them, and to share with them how God brought me through my own valley. I have one friend in particular who is going through a really difficult time, and thankfully I have been able to be a source of encouragement and direction for him.

By God’s grace I am also set up to start a study of Luke with a seeker who, as far as I know, has no background with the Church. I’m excited for that! Please pray that our first talk on Wednesday at 09:00 goes well. If he finds healing in Jesus and gives his life to him, it will have eternal ramifications for him, his family, and his friends.
I feel very exited about all of this, but at the same time it takes away time from my studies. I am a bit behind on the readings, and only just keeping up with the weekly assignments. Large projects are another story!

Please pray that I would have balance in it all.

Thank you.

God bless,

Alex
